Responsible Design & Age Suitability

Card HQ is a general-audience utility, rated 4+, for trading-card collectors and hobbyists. It is not directed to children under 13, and it is not designed to maximize screen time. Most use is brief: scan a card, check a price, log it, or look something up.

Card HQ has no feed, no messaging, no comments, and no follower system. Users cannot post to one another or contact each other through the app. There is no user-generated content to moderate and no surface for bullying, harassment, or unwanted contact from strangers.

• We show no ads and use no advertising SDKs.
• We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not build advertising profiles.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Card HQ does not sell randomized digital packs, loot boxes, or any paid chance-based rewards. It prices and tracks real cards you already own or are searching for. There is no simulated gambling.

Card HQ includes light, hobby-appropriate touches: a card-reveal animation, collection milestones, and optional price alerts and a daily summary you can turn on or off. These are informational and celebratory, not engineered for compulsive use. Notifications are opt-in and user-controlled, and there are no streaks, countdown timers, or pressure mechanics designed to keep you in the app.

Prices and the buy, hold, sell "HQ Read" are informational signals derived from market data, and are clearly labeled in the app as not financial advice. Card HQ does not sell cards and does not process card purchases; links to outside marketplaces open in your own browser.

• We collect only what the app needs: your account, your collection, subscription status, basic diagnostics, and a device token for alerts you enable.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so a family's existing Ask to Buy, Screen Time, and content restrictions apply to Card HQ.
• You can use the app as a guest, without an account.
• You can delete your account and data at any time from Settings.

We build Card HQ to be safe by design: no ads, no cross-app tracking, no social feed, no gambling, and honest information. We aim to meet applicable children's-privacy and age-appropriate-design requirements. Questions or concerns are welcome at support@cardhq.app.
